Temp position of 8-10 weeks with possibility of becoming a perm position

Must have Quickbooks experience

Responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions of Accounts Payable (A/P), the General Ledger and Administrative

Responsibilities, as outlined below:

Accounts Payable:

Matches invoices and credit memos to Purchase Orders.

Reviews, codes and processes A/P invoices, and check requests in an accurate and timely manner.

Processes and distributes A/P checks in accordance with Agency policy and vendor terms.

Handles inquiries from vendors.

Maintains vendor electronic file records.

Prepares and distributes 1099 and other related tax forms.

Audits petty cash for reimbursement.

Audits employee and volunteer expenses to ensure compliance with Agency and federal and state rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Assists with entering monthly claims to the Veteran Administration using established claim service.

Reconciles aged payables on a monthly basis.

Prepares and enters fund allocation details for all payables.

Maintains cash disbursement ledger and check registers

Prepares budget worksheets for expense accounts annually.

General Ledger: Prepares all recurring, monthly, and year-end journal entries as may be required.

Prepares all reconciliations and year-end work papers pertaining to A/P and fixed assets.

Prepares and reconciles prepaid expenses, lease and other schedules.
