Job Description

Capital Materials is looking to add full-time sales representative for our asphalt division in Southwest Missouri. This position will office out of Ozark, MO. Our goal is to find candidates who are willing to work side by side with our experienced professionals and contribute their ideas for the success of each project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Process:

  • Work alongside Management in projecting sales and production goals.
  • Drive sales of asphalt through strategically targeting and following up with new and existing customers.
  • Provide solutions to customers regarding selecting asphalt materials to meet job specifications.
  • Communicate with 3rd party companies to coordinate material deliveries.
  • Manage and maintain quoting software, sales forecast, and budget.
  • Ensure project quality and commitment to the client.

Strategy and Market Analysis:

  • Identify and gather market information and provide recommendations to management.
  • Analyze marketing and sales data.
  • Research and analyze target sectors to pinpoint opportunities for client acquisition and partnerships.
  • Prepare formal presentations when needed.

Relationship Building/Networking:

  • Initiate contact with prospective clients to establish strong business connections.
  • Build professional relationships with clients to understand their objectives and goals.
  • Identify and research potential clients while staying on top of developments in the industry.
  • Attend industry events to nurture existing relationships and cultivate new ones.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Sales or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Construction materials industry preferred or asphalt construction knowledge and estimating experience highly preferred.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in sales with a proven ability to drive results.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Travel: Obtain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug/alcohol screen.
