Advance Next-Generation Avionics Systems! We are seeking a Senior Avionics Engineer to support a high-impact aerospace program. This role involves cutting-edge avionics development, system integration, and airworthiness certification. What You’ll Do:

As a key member of the avionics engineering team, you’ll be responsible for enhancing system performance, ensuring compliance, and developing advanced aviation solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Avionics System Development & Integration
  • Improve existing and future aviation platforms by applying industry-leading engineering principles.
  • Ensure compliance with airworthiness certification criteria and safety standards.
  • Assist in developing next-generation avionics solutions to support mission success.
  • System Safety & Certification
  • Support System Integrity Programs and critical safety compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and certification reviews to maintain airworthiness.
  • Monitor flight authorization requirements and contribute to system safety advancements.
  • Engineering Analysis & Troubleshooting
  • Conduct technical assessments to optimize avionics hardware and software performance.
  • Provide rapid-response engineering support to resolve critical avionics challenges.
  • Review mission-critical system specifications and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strategic Avionics Planning
  • Assist in developing modernization plans and identifying future technology needs.
  • Support system compliance efforts for communications, navigation, and surveillance technologies.
  • Contribute to long-term avionics roadmaps and sustainment strategies.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship & Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field + 15 years of experience (5+ in DoD)
  • Strong expertise in avionics engineering, system integration, and airworthiness certification
  • Knowledge of data bus systems, avionics controls & displays, and CNS/ATM compliance
  • Ability to analyze, develop, and implement advanced aviation solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field + 12 years of experience
  • Extensive experience in DoD aviation systems, avionics test & evaluation, and sustainment strategies
