Job Description

This role is responsible for managing daily material flow and inventory operations to support production schedules while maintaining quality standards. Key activities include identifying and resolving bottlenecks, analyzing trends, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities.

General Duties:

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production schedules.
• Manage MRP and ERP systems for demand forecasting, material availability, and production planning.
• Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms for pricing, delivery, and quality.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance, reporting risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality assurance, engineering) to meet material specifications.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Buyer Responsibilities :

• Place purchase orders and manage supplier relationships.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assess supply chain risks.
• Build and sustain strong supplier partnerships.
• Oversee material management throughout the product lifecycle.

Planner Responsibilities:

• Use MRP systems to forecast demand and plan production schedules.
• Ensure ERP systems effectively allocate resources to support production.
• Participate in cross-functional planning activities, including design reviews, pre-production trials, and production launches.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment. Certifications like APICS, CPIM, or Supply Chain Management credentials are preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of production planning, material management, and supplier relationship management.
• Familiarity with quality systems, SOPs, and Lean/Continuous Improvement methods.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
