SUMMARY: This is not a remote position.As an editorial assistant, you are part of a team that embraces the mission of producing K–12 educational materials with a biblical worldview for Christian schools and homeschools. Your primary role is to assist editors with their projects as assigned. The tasks might include, but are not limited to, performing editor tasks for production, assisting digital resource editors, and overseeing the editor tasks for ancillary pieces. You may be asked to work either independently or under the direction of an editor. When necessary, you will assist the editors by reading PDF page proofs of BJU Press products and marking errors and inconsistencies for the editors to review. Your work increases the value of the products by ensuring their conformity to BJU Press style and departmental guidelines and lowers production costs through efficiency and attentiveness. After successful onboarding, a regular part-time employee in this position may apply for a hybrid work schedule.
