Compensation:

• Engineer II $79,000 - $112,000 w/ 10% bonus
• Engineer III $99,000 - $159,000 w/ 12.5% bonus

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must-Have

• E II needs minimum 3+ years of experience with electrical engineering // E III needs minimum 5+ years of experience with electrical engineering
• Bachelor’s degree – ABET Accredited program (having a P.E can substitute the ABET accreditation requirement)
• Engineering experience at a power station/plant or manufacturing plant working hands on with equipment

Project Overview: The Project Construction Organization’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our offshore wind operations team. CVOW, the largest project of its kind in the United States, is a 2,6 GW wind farm located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach consisting of 176 wind turbines generators, three 880 MW offshore substations, and all the associated high-voltage subsea cabling. As part of the CVOW Ops team, the successful candidate will work closely with our project managers, engineers, internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers to support the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of Dominion Energy’s offshore wind projects.

Responsibilities

Insight Global is looking for a reliability engineer with a focus in electrical engineering to join a top utilities company in Norfolk, VA supporting the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project. This role is critical in driving proactive reliability solutions, implementing data-driven methodologies, and supporting long-term asset reliability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reliability Analysis: Perform reliability modeling and analysis (e.g., Weibull analysis, failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), and criticality evaluation) to assess and improve system performance.
• Preventative and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, including condition-based and predictive maintenance programs, to maximize equipment uptime.
• Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and report on key operational and reliability metrics such as Availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) to identify improvement opportunities.
• Project Management: Lead initiation, planning, and execution of major overhauls or improvement initiatives.
• Design Reviews: Participate in the design and engineering of new systems to ensure reliability principles are incorporated into the development process.
• Failure Analysis: Perform in-depth root cause analysis on failures and lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Spare Parts Analysis: Perform critical spare parts assessment to determine optimal inventory levels.
• Proactive Rist Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive identification and execution of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshooting: Support troubleshooting efforts by diagnosing on-site equipment issues, analyzing historical operational data, and documenting failure modes.

Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams on reliability principles and best practices.
