Job Description

Position Title: Engineer

Status: 6 month contract to hire

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour DOE ($95K – 125K annually upon conversion to FTE

Location: Colorado Springs, CO ( In office and travel as needed – could be up to 50% travel.)

As an industrial engineering firm, we provide services and support for gathering, transmission, delivery, and distribution companies associated with the oil, gas, and water industries.

Client provides project management, engineering and design, drafting, construction management, operations and maintenance, and corrosion and integrity support. The Client infrastructure allows them to offer many other value-added services, such as procurement, drafting, bid assistance, survey/GIS services, feasibility reviews, and Right of Way/Easement investigations.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking Junior, Senior, and Professional Engineers for an exciting contract to hire scenario. The Junior Engineer is the primary technical point of contact for all project deliverables. The Engineer’s responsibilities include developing project objectives, writing specifications, performing calculations, reviewing and selecting equipment, and supporting the creation of drawings. They will interact with all team members to perform work correctly and promptly along with promoting professional development. They will also actively manage their time to maintain efficient, effective, and accurate production within their projects. Also, the Engineer will have strong communication skills and be able to accomplish the results of the project at hand.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in professional development.
  • Champion company goals and processes.
  • Actively participate in QA/QC to ensure consistency within the department.
  • Work with Project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Clearly convey design philosophies, expectations, and timeline.
  • Coordinate regulatory, permitting, survey, and third party construction efforts.
  • Specify all engineered equipment and specialty items.
  • Perform calculations to evaluate proposed designs.
  • Evaluate design’s overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
  • Communicate design changes with key project team members.
  • Understand and apply standard engineering principles.
  • Treat all company information and customer information confidentially.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-10 years of relevant work experience
  • ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • EIT certification or working towards.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft office suites.
