We are seeking an Integrity Engineer to provide technical expertise and support in integrity-related activities within the energy industry, specifically in pipeline systems. The role will involve activities such as integrity risk assessments, inspection coordination (including NDE, indirect surveys, and In-Line inspections), evaluating fitness for service, and executing remediation strategies. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in client management, with a focus on building trust and delivering client-focused results.
Job Details:
Location: Duluth or Minneapolis, MN (primary work location)
Travel: Occasional travel (up to 25%) to areas such as Colorado, Utah, California, Minnesota, Texas, and other locations as needed.
Integrity Engineer II (4–8 years of experience)
Travel-related expenses (hotel stays, etc.) will be reimbursed. No company vehicle is provided.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
PE certification is preferred or the ability to obtain one within a year.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials, corrosion, inspection, or integrity engineering in the gas/utility and natural gas sectors.
Relevant Standards & Codes: Proficient with CFR 193, CFR 192, CFR 195, CFR 1910, API 570, API 510, API 579, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.8S, ASME B31G.
Experience in consulting engineering and/or seconded positions is highly desirable.
A commitment to providing high-quality, client-focused service while fostering respectful relationships with both clients and coworkers.
Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively, with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and identify potential integrity threats to pipeline systems.
Provide engineering support and oversee the coordination of field inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
Develop detailed plans for integrity inspections, ensuring thorough and accurate execution.
Conduct integrity threat assessments for pipelines and pressure vessels.
Perform evaluations to assess whether pipelines and equipment are fit for service.
Determine the appropriate inspection methods and indirect survey techniques to ensure optimal results.
Assist with the coordination and execution of In-Line Inspection (ILI) projects.
Assess pipeline damage and recommend appropriate actions for remediation based on fitness-for-service evaluations.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to understand underlying issues identified during inspections and assessments.
