Job Description

SpineSearch is seeking a Physician Assistant to join a leading health system in the Bridgeport, CT area.

This is a 4-day work week working 10 hour shifts, offering comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in all aspect of the patient’s care; from managing consults and new patient visits, to the operating room, as well as follow ups and post-operative appointments in the hospital and outpatient settings
• Participating in oncologic care of lung and esophageal cancer patients, as well as benign thoracic and foregut conditions.
• Assisting surgeons in the operating room.
• Learning the latest minimally invasive and open surgical techniques.
• Understanding the role of cancer staging and surgical resection.
• Developing strong working relationships with referring providers.

Qualifications:

• Certified Physician Assistant licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• Cancer related surgical experience is preferred.
• Robotic surgical experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
