Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 36/Hours Per Day: 12
• Shift: 7P-7A (36 Hours)
• Salary: $26.50-30.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Sign-on Bonus: $20K (disbursed within 2 years) and Relocation Bonus: $3K-$5K

Duties: The Respiratory Therapist performs all aspects of direct respiratory care based on physician orders and/or approved protocols. Responsibilities include consulting physicians on therapy effectiveness, providing ventilator support, maintaining and monitoring cardiopulmonary life support equipment, and ensuring proper use of respiratory care equipment. The therapist will:

• Administer therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Conduct prescribed diagnostic procedures as outlined in the policy.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical and non-invasive ventilators, being mindful of critical care duties.
• Evaluate current therapies and make recommendations for patient care and education.
• Document therapy and results according to hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in emergency settings to conduct respiratory care.
• Perform blood sampling analysis and interpret results.
• Maintain proficiency with electronic medical records and respiratory care procedures.

Physical Requirements : Requires repetitive physical activity, including walking and standing. Ability to lift 20-50 pounds and move patients of all ages. Exposure to odors, low lighting, and crowded conditions.

Skills :

• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) as per AHA.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT.

Education :

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care school.
• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina.

Certifications & Licenses :

• ACLS - AHA
• BLS
• RRT

Skills and Experience :

• Required: Electronic Medical Records, ACLS, BLS, Therapy
• Additional: Patient Education, NRP, Therapeutic, Critical Care
