Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings, including pediatrics and critical care. The Respiratory Therapist will work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

We have full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including airway management and basic life support.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health and home care techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in the PICU and other departments to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Stay updated on advancements in pulmonology and respiratory therapy practices.

Experience

• Proven experience in a hospital setting, particularly within pediatrics or critical care environments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to respiratory therapy and anatomy knowledge is essential.
• Experience working with patients requiring airway management and basic life support techniques.
• Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not required.

Required Minimum Education

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP)

Required Minimum Certifications

• Active GA Respiratory Care Professional License
• CRT certification (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) or NRP Instructor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor

Required Minimum Experience

• 0 to 2 years patient care experience
