Baer is looking for Senior DevOps Engineer for a 12 month Federal Project located in Herndon, VA.

Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Herndon, VA

Duration: 12 months

Rate: All-Inclusive

Alignment: W2 or C2C

Description:

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain software and applications, including mainframe and client/server systems.
• Fine-tune and improve a variety of software implementation projects.
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop solutions to meet client needs.
• Analyze enhancement requests and develop software solutions accordingly.
• Customize system software to meet client requirements.
• Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
• Code new programs based on client specifications and create test data.
• Modify existing programs to meet new standards and perform unit testing.
• Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
• Provide quality assurance reviews and ensure smooth post-implementation validation.
• Resolve bugs discovered during testing and maintain software integrity.

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with Terraform and AWS is a must.
• Proficient in Ansible for automation.
• Experience with Gardener Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with both new and legacy systems.
• Good understanding of programming, problem diagnosis, and resolution.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
