We are seeking a Water and Wastewater Planning Manager.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs master plans and planning studies for water, wastewater, and recycled water systems
• Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering planning work on projects, with responsibility and authority for budget, schedule contractual obligations, and quality standards
• Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies
• May have responsibility for several projects concurrently
• Has responsibility for preparing proposals, conducting interviews, and negotiating contracts with clients after selection
• Develops and maintains significant relationships with clients and client management personnel
• Identifies needs for recruitment of new employees and participates in selection process
• Leads and oversees project teams in the design of projects of various sizes
• Prepares reports, technical memoranda, and cost estimates
• Delivers high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
• Identifies need for and directs subconsultants performing services on projects
• Active in professional associations, including presentations of technical papers, member of technical committees, and officer of local or national organization
• Minimal travel when requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer Certification (or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of employment)
• 10-15 years of directly-relevant experience in master planning and hydraulic modeling of water and wastewater infrastructure
• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience
• Must have demonstrated ability and experience in master plans and the planning phase infrastructure projects
• Demonstrate creative engineering judgment and foresight in anticipating and solving engineering problems.
• Familiarity with hydraulic models and GIS
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Works well in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

Annual Salary: $150k - 175k
