Job Description

Bravado represents a privately-held Fitness Studio Management SaaS company that has added 250 new customers since 2022 and earned rave reviews on Glassdoor (4.4), G2 (4.1), and Capterra (4.7).

This 20-employee, Seed Funded firm ($3.3 million in total funding), which has a 39% Demo-to-Close ratio over the last 12 months, is seeking a Founding VP of Sales to hire and lead a team of 10 remote salespeople, who will live in major metro areas across the U.S. This role reports to the CEO and you’ll work from our San Francisco office.

Role

* Senior leadership role, reporting to the CEO and working from their San Francisco office on Montgomery Street.

* $150k base salary, $300k OTE. Uncapped comp plan with accelerators. Meaningful early-stage equity.

* You have led a team that is similar to ours in sales cycle (21 days), deal size (5-15k ACV), and sales velocity (AEs closing 2 to 5 net-new logos per month).

* You must have experience working for an early-stage startup. If you’ve scaled a firm from Series A to Series B, you are at the top of our list.

* Bonus points if you have led a distributed remote team that sells to SMBs in their local area.

* Over the last 12 months, we have had a 40-50% Demo-to-Close ratio, so you’ll be hiring AEs who can generate appointments via phone and in person.

* Your team will typically call on the owner of a fitness club, or a general manager or head of operations.

Scope of Work

  • Collaborate directly with the CEO to develop and enhance a sales methodology tailored to our products, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Design and oversee a comprehensive top-of-the-funnel growth strategy that consistently generates high-quality sales leads for the company
  • Spearhead Account-Based Marketing initiatives and leverage inbound leads (in partnership with the marketing team) to uncover new opportunities for the sales team
  • Lead, recruit, and develop a high-performing team of SDRs and AEs, fostering rapid growth in new leads and transforming them into productive, results-driven salespeople
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and optimize sales performance
  • Manage and maintain a CRM database of leads, ensuring efficient processing, tracking, and reporting of opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Partner with sales leadership to implement and refine processes aimed at increasing efficiency and driving sales growth
  • Build and lead a high-caliber sales team, focusing on hiring, training, and equipping them with the tools necessary for success

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of proven B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity
  • Strong sense of ownership with a proactive, results-driven mindset and a ‘let’s-get-it-done’ attitude
  • Expertise in collaborating directly with leadership, GTM, and Product teams to drive strategy and execution
  • A natural storyteller, capable of communicating the value of the product in a compelling and relatable way
  • Proven track record of identifying and coaching high-potential sales talent, turning rough diamonds into top performers
  • Extensive experience in consultative selling, particularly to business owners and managers within the SMB/Mid-market sector
