Litigation Administrative Assistant - Buffalo, NY

JK Executive Strategies has partnered with a well-respected, full-service law firm in its search for its next Litigation Administrative Assistant who will join an enthusiastic, fast paced firm.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle a large volume of work, be detail-oriented, have a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills and be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments from multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients, court personnel, and attorneys via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Manage attorney calendars.
  • Draft, revise, format, and edit documents.
  • Electronically file documents in state and federal court as well as administrative agencies.
  • Prepare and draft litigation-related documents such as affidavits of service and notices.
  • Open and close files.
  • Provide general support to various attorneys.
  • Filing, scanning and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Law Firm and specifically, litigation departments, required.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in administrative capacity.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Firm needs.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong typing and transcription experience.

Salary: $50 - $60k
