Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing organization based in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Director to lead their financial operations and drive business growth. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, playing a critical part in shaping the financial future of the company.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of financial leadership, a deep understanding of GAAP and tax regulations, and hands-on experience in scaling organizations.

This is a HYBRID role. 
Salary : 150K-180K

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership:
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Accounting and Reporting:
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee the tax compliance process, including sales tax returns and 1099 forms.
• Cash Flow Management:
  • Optimize cash flow and manage working capital.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Team Management:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the wholesale distribution industry.
• Strong strategic insights
• Experience growing and scaling start-ups
• Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with major retailers
