Overview

We are seeking a passionate and talented Graphic Design Intern to join our skincare loving, creative team. The ideal candidate should have knowledge or interest in clean beauty and skincare, be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and have a compelling portfolio that showcases their design ability.

This is a great opportunity to learn about and gain experience working for an in-house brand design team and learn how to work cross-functionally with our marketing and logistics teams. You will be partnered with our Sr. Graphic Designer who will walk you through your daily projects, guide you through our design processes, and will provide feedback to help you grow as a designer.

This is a 5 month internship with a required 20-25 hours per week. The work schedule is hybrid, interns must be located in the New Jersey / NYC area and be willing to travel to our NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating product sketches, mock-ups, and prototypes for new skincare products and special packaging sets
• Design and develop graphic assets for print materials such as special brand info cards, stickers, and packaging designs for our skincare products
• Support the marketing team with design materials such as social media graphics, email campaigns, website banners, and general advertisements.
• Support the marketing team in creating photo or video content for our various social media platforms (this includes but is not limited to Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest)
• Collaborate, develop, and execute design solutions that align with our brand and marketing goals
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and techniques and incorporate them into our brand's design language
• Ensure all designs meet brand standards and guidelines

Requirements

• Pursuing or completed a degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. This includes but is not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Bonus if experienced with Canva
• Strong understanding of design layouts, typography, composition, color, and general design fundamentals.
• Be able to create print or web-ready graphics
• Bonus for photo & retouching knowledge or background.
• Knowledge or interest in learning about clean beauty and skincare
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines and standards
