As a Jovie Sitter in Dekalb, IL, you’ll get to provide caring, fun, and safe childcare to families, while working hours that fit your schedule. We offer shifts ranging from early mornings (4 AM - 3 PM) to late afternoons/evenings (4 PM - 12 AM), with 10-25 hours of work per week.

In this role, you’ll get to build meaningful relationships with children, while supporting their growth and development. Whether you’re an early riser or prefer evenings, this part-time opportunity lets you choose a schedule that works best for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Fun & Safe Environments: Supervise children with a focus on their safety, while planning and engaging in creative, educational activities.
• Support Daily Routines: Follow the family’s routine, including meals, naps, and playtime, ensuring children are well-cared for.
• Meals & Snacks: Prepare light meals and snacks.
• Stay Active & Engaged: Keep children entertained with games, crafts, and outdoor play, making each day enjoyable.
• Light Housekeeping: Help with light housekeeping, like tidying up after meals and playtime, so families can focus on quality time together.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a focus on child safety and engagement.
• Comfortable with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not required (training can be provided).
• Must pass a background check.
