Sales Position Breakdown: Full-time / Hybrid
- Salary: Base + Commissions
- Hours of work are from 8:30 AM ET to 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday
- This does not preclude you from putting in additional time to finish particular projects

Summary of Role (PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SALES POSITION THAT INCLUDES OUTBOUND SALES)
The Digital Media Sales (DMS) owns the sales relationships, and is responsible for continued, profitable growth and the development of new and existing accounts. The DMS are the eyes and ears of the client for Propellant Media from the initial sales and handoff to a media planner, and will know best what is on the brief, on target for the brand, and what the client is looking for. For the client, the AD is the essential voice of reason on strategic and creative issues, someone they trust implicitly to do what is right for them and their brand(s).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Digital Media Strategist:
- Throughout all stages of the sales cycle, own the relationship with prospective clients by managing successful, profitable and trust-based engagements as a business partner, not just a supplier of communications
- Actively identify and prospect new business opportunities with local and regional businesses, and agencies
- Work with the VP of Sales and Executive Leadership to define agency growth strategy within target verticals
- Industries include but are not limited to healthcare, higher education, tourism, home care services, B2B, Automotive, Retail, and more
- Nurture target prospects and leads throughout each stage of the sales funnel specific to Propellant Media
- Maintain up-to-date sales pipeline (Hubspot CRM), providing real-time forecasts for new business efforts
- Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset to solve complex problems, with solutions tailored for each customer and made as simple as possible
- Conduct virtual and in-person meetings demonstrating subject matter expertise and a point of view on industry and/or specific advertising solutions, with deep knowledge of your customer’s vision and objectives
- Interpret performance reports, both for our local team and our clients, use performance data to make campaign recommendations that result in incremental sales
- Play an active role in ensuring successful onboarding of new clients and transitioning those new clients to our media planning team
- Nurture the growth and scaling of agency partners as they onboard their first few clients
- Participate in strategy development to help set and measure company goals, analyze data, and present findings to clients at the onset of business development
- Work effectively with internal media planning and strategy team to ensure projects proceed as anticipated and strategic goals are met
- Collaborate with the Agency leadership (as applicable) on client media plans and budgets and follow up on how the plans are being implemented
- Intuitively understand the dynamics of clients’ businesses, and make good use of insights to stay informed about the client and their industry
- In partnership with Media Planners, manage the financial health of the client at Propellant Media and ensure agency revenue targets are met or exceeded, and the account is growing
- Lead on writing campaign and creative briefs, and kick-off internal teams on new projects
- Meet critical sales quotas and sales targeting including total prospect touches, meetings, agreements, total closed prospects, and total booked sales volume
Communication Skills
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and listening skills
- Be comfortable and adept in representing Propellant Media with a client’s senior management
- Demonstrate outstanding presentation skills in formal and informal settings and be an excellent meeting leader
- Communicate in a clear, coherent and professional manner
- Be self-assured as well as sensitive when leading client team members
- Maintain a candid professional relationship with other Propellant Media staff

Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant account management experience, agency experience in leading accounts or equivalent client experience in marketing roles
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Hubspot CRM
- Can embrace utilizing technology, including platforms like Hubspot, Loom and Fathom to record prospect meetings and more
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) & Google Drive
- Working knowledge of marketing and advertising tactics, Google Ads, Meta & Google Analytics
- Experience writing creative briefs and informing internal teams on new projects
- Demonstrated success in uncovering new business opportunities, managing accounts and growing clients
- Proven track record of leading projects and initiatives from start to finish
- Demonstrated success in leading projects without direct reporting relationship
- Bachelor’s degree
Compensation:
- Salary: $50,000/Year + Monthly Commissions - This role offers a competitive blend of salary and commission
