Requirements:
• Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in school psychology.
• Master’s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred.
• Experience working with children in school settings, including conducting evaluations and participating in IEP development.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for special education and 504 Plans.
• Proficiency in psycho-educational assessments, behavior management strategies, and mental health interventions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
• Prepare detailed written reports summarizing assessment results and recommendations for IEP or 504 Plan development.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to develop individualized education programs and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Provide direct counseling and behavioral support services to students as needed.
• Develop and implement behavior management plans, social-emotional learning strategies, and interventions.
• Assist in crisis intervention and provide mental health support to students and staff.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Provide training and resources to school staff on behavior management, mental health, and special education compliance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress notes in compliance with district and state regulations.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in school psychology through professional development.
